Purpose

The shortage of skilled workers and educated professionals represents a significant bottleneck in transforming the construction ecosystem into a regenerative model.

The New European Bauhaus Academy (NEBA) aims to accelerate the transfer and adoption of knowledge and capabilities among workers, businesses, policymakers, and the public. Its mission is to train, upskill, and reskill the current and future workforce in the construction sector, driving a carbon-neutral, beautiful, and inclusive transformation of the built environment.

About NEBA

The New European Bauhaus Academy is a flagship initiative of the European Commission, focused on fostering skills for sustainable construction. Bauhaus Earth is a key partner in this initiative, collaborating with regional and European stakeholders.

A consortium of NEBA Hubs across Europe will address a broad range of competencies in fields such as biobased materials, building design, and the circular economy. As part of the consortium, Bauhaus Earth is collaborating with regional partners, including TU Berlin, the Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences for Sustainable Development, and other institutions, to establish a NEBA Hub in Berlin-Brandenburg. From 2025 onwards, we will offer training opportunities through compact courses and other continuing education formats.
