Space
Our Berlin lab is both a site of research and demonstration. Nearly every project carried out at Bauhaus Earth touches the lab at some point — whether by using the space to test a new material, make a prototype, or host an exhibition.
Located in the south of Berlin, the over 500 m2 workshop and exhibition space provides the infrastructure to support experimentation and the production of prototypes and building elements. In addition, the lab space showcases cutting-edge research and innovation from around the world as part of events, lectures, and symposia.

Materials and Prototypes
Our workshop facilitates both technical and material innovation, as well as demonstration and experimentation.
From non-uniform deciduous timber to unfired earth blocks to "reedcrete", our workshop has contributed to some major achievements in the development, testing, and demonstration of regional and regenerative materials. The space is fully equipped with woodworking tools and machinery for the processing of raw earth materials. Together with researchers and partners, the workshop team realizes regenerative building materials and prototypes in small series. The workshop space is also used for professional trainings and hands-on seminars.
