InnoRenew CoE

is an independent research institute established in 2017 through theInnoRenew project. Research targets renewable materials and sus-tainable buildings, specifically innovative approaches to wood and itsuse, with the goal of transferring scientific knowledge into industrialpractice. InnoRenew CoE’s international, interdisciplinary team ofscientists and professionals is available for independent consultation,project work or Living Lab InnoRenew collaboration. InnoRenewCoE sees solutions to the climate crisis in the science of buildings andmaterials; however, many challenges remain: addressing sustainabilityin building construction, operation and use; optimizing renewablematerials; understanding human patterns of behavior within the builtenvironment; improving occupant well-being and enhancing socialcohesion.
